MIXED-MEDIA RISO ANIMATION
SENIOR CAPSTONE PROJECT
This project investigates the use of mixed-media animation and the risograph printer as a tool to enhance fashion advertising for brands with an emphasis on slow and sustainable fashion. By creating a short promotional music video for the brand “Kissy Fit,” which I am developing with two business partners, I hope to create unique, eye-catching visuals that highlight my skills in creative direction and ability to work throughout a variety of mediums and softwares--- digital and physical.
The Risograph is a printing process developed in the 1980s, suited for mass-duplication using a screen-printing process with one ink at a time. Its imperfections and halftone style create a unique analog texture. Its also know for its environmental sustainability, just like Kissy Fit!

WEEKLY PROGRESS UPDATES:
Week 7:
Week 6:
This week, I was starting to feel a little behind so I organized the assets I would need to use into an asset list and focused on planning, sourcing, and creating things for the live shoot. This included gathering supplies and testing out a second-hand cricut that I was given and plan to use for graphic clotihgn assets. Then, I worked more on the logo and made a potential title card using a neon effect I created in Photoshop. Finally, I researched and spoke with my peers to find tutorials for any 3D simulations I will use.

Week 4:
ly not my strong suit, so I struggled to depict my ideas on paper. I used Adobe Firefly AI and pictures in some instances to further elaborate on my vision and quickly ideate. I also got feedback on my logo, so I will be reworking that. Next week: Rework logo, animatic edits, make the shirt, make plans for the shoot.
