Prototype is an animated short about a little mouse with high-flying dreams, living in a DaVinci Style workshop. As Look Development Lead, I led the team in the surfacing process, providing guidance and feedback on environmental surfacing and being responsible for mouse’s look. For this project, I taught myself Houdini’s grooming tools, using a node network setup to paint in particular styles of fur in different areas on the mouse. Then, I surfaced the skin, eyes, and accessories on the mouse, and rendered the character in Renderman.
